Cooking Instructions
Nice with roast dinners, goats or feta cheese and salad.
1Scrub your beetroots, as many as you want to eat. If your beets are large slice them into cm thick discs or dice them up if you have nice baby ones just half them. 2Take a large long sheet of foil preferably reused from another night or recycled and place on a baking sheet, fold in half so its double the thickness and is now a square. 3Now all you do is put the beetroots and some herbs like thyme or oregano on the foil and fold the foil corner to corner to make a triangle firmly secure all down one side by folding it over on itself a few times. 4Now pour into the open side two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar a bit of olive oil and a splash of red wine or port if you have it. 5Secure the other side sealing at all in and making sure not to spill any, also make sure its not over crowded or it will take longer to cook ,now bake for about 45 mins medium high temp. 6By the time its ready the foil bag will of ballooned out like an overstuffed pillow, so be careful as that is scalding steam ready to escape. |
